Mike G in SC Posted August 10, 2012 Share #2 Posted August 10, 2012 I always used the home made version (a 4x8 and a 4" pipe) on my Road Star. Worked great, the bottom is flat and lowest thing was the frame rails. (Often called the $20 Harley jack. http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/bikelift.htm ) But gave it away (with the Road Satar) when I got a 06 RSTD. To many bulky things under there. Maybe Carbon One could come up with one for the Royals. Mike G.
V7Goose Posted August 10, 2012 Share #3 Posted August 10, 2012 It works just fine on a 2nd gen (but not for changing tires). I use a maintenance stand very similar to that. Goose

The Carbon One stand works fine on the 05-09 RSTD's if thats what you're suggesting. unless you're asking for a modified version of the 'lever' lift in the orig post? djh3 Posted August 11, 2012 Share #5 Posted August 11, 2012 Couple bucks more and you can get a jack. this on is from sears. I have had mine since 2007 and works great. On the home made idea if cut reliefs big enough for say the exhaust so the boards contact the frame all should be good.
