Pretty much just remove the 4 lines and cap the vacuum ports off...

But remember they are capped. I had caps dry out and crack on a YICS bike in 1 year. Quality caps are an unknown quantity. So caps need to be inspected often.

I capped mine off several years ago and the bike ran better and my gas mileage is better. I have had a problem with the caps having the top come off, and it is always one of the two that are the hardest to get to. The next time I have good access to them, I am going to put a short piece of hose on and put a plug in the hose. I believe it will last a lot longer.

Just curious why you would want to disable the YICS? Is it a fuel mileage issue or do they actually run better? I have mine still hooked up, bike runs great, gas mileage around 40, idles good, can't complain a bit.

On older bikes the possibility of air leaks is greater with the YICS hooked up. Sometimes it helps to disconnect it. On the '83 there is one hose that needs to be left alone from the #2 carb to the booster. Should always be checked and replaced as needed....
