Now that is the start of my riding. Actually I had a turtle top Cushman in 1959 and then an Eagle. What fun they were. A Honda 50 would out run them though.

My 1st 2 wheel ride was a Red 1962 Cushman Eagle. I rode it 10,000mi from the time I was 14 until I got my 59 Plymouth Belvedere when I turned 16. What great freedom it gave a 14 year old that was a gear head @ age 5. Thank God Colorado changed the driving age to 16 for any motor vehicle before my kids got to that age. My poor mom never knew where I was.

ya got to love those cushmans. i restored a 1958 pace maker last winter, with a few modern up grades. if you go to my buddys website and click on links you can see the worlds most expensive 1958 cushman eagle. it is the black one, built from the ground up including the cnc machined 4speed tranny and belt primary drive. it is powered by a b&s vanguard v-twin built to the hilt. top speed over 100 mph. it took me almost 4 yrs. to complete. his web site is www.reisstool&machine.com just hit the links button to see the scooters.
