350 Miles and a Sunburn Later...

Like most areas, the weather in Utah has been less the cooperative for riding this spring. But the weather gods smiled upon us here this past Saturday. :bighug:

Friday night a couple of friends and I left the hustle of the city and headed for the mountains and central Utah desert. Friday night we spent at my in-law's place in Orangeville. Saturday morning, after a leisurely breakfast, we rode up to Joe's Valley Reservoir above town and enjoyed the cool morning air, sun and beautiful country.

After the reservoir ride, we headed to fuel up, get and drink and join with 34 other bikes and a special meeting with the church youth in the area about the riding and relating the protective gear to the Armor of God Paul taught about in Eph. 6.

Finally the ride home :( Most of the way home I noticed quite a bit of color on my arms and realized that I hadn't applied any sunscreen all day, even though the sun had been bright and temps in the mid 70's. Oh well, worth the discomfort!!

After a long winter off, the bike ran great, 41 mpg (usually get 32). More rain (and some snow) today and tomorrow. Next weekend promises to be warm and sunny again. Come on Friday!! :cool10:
