lower fairing

is there directions some where on this site for splitting the lower fairing

If I remember correctly, there is a plastic push-pin type lock located under the center of the lower fairings where you can see the ridge/split right behind the front tire. Lay on floor and look up under the bottom from center edge of lower fairing. Be careful for the plastic housing inside tends to break off easily. Mine broke off and I never worried about it or replaced it so it really isnt a big deal if it does break off. You can re glue it back on if it does using abs plastic repair glue.

 

After you remove that push pin, there are two screws on the forward front side of each half of the lower fairings. remove them and your home..

 

Replace left (riders side) lower first, then lower right side second and then install push pin on bottom..
