GOINtoHELL Posted February 7, 2011 Share #1 Posted February 7, 2011 I was just wondering if anyone knew if you could use this http://www.cyclesolutions.net/product/sku-GM-Y122 to bring the handle bars on a 2006 RSTD back 1 1/2 inches towards the rider. In this drawing http://www.monmouthcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=200100&category=motorcycles&make=YAMAHA&year=2006&fveh=4551 it looks like you could put it between 11 & 13 to bring the bars closer. Thanks in adv. for any help
wes0778 Posted February 7, 2011 Share #2 Posted February 7, 2011 Will it hit the speedometer?
TearlessTom Posted February 7, 2011 Share #3 Posted February 7, 2011 Will it hit the speedometer? I think so. Its a pretty tight fit there. I put a Barons Star Bar on mine and it feels much better now. Didn't think it looked that much different until I went to pull the tank off and the bar is in the way of the front screw to the decorative trim on top of the tank. It was still accessible just had to use a shorter hex head.
hunter 1500 Posted February 7, 2011 Share #4 Posted February 7, 2011 I put the Flanders bars on mine. I got them from Buckeye and you can get the SS cables and lines all in a kit. I really like mine.

Flanders was my plan but CustomCruiser had a sale on the Barons that I couldn't refuse. I am happy with the change in location with it too. Guest jakescot Posted March 27, 2011 Share #6 Posted March 27, 2011 I too want to move the handlebar on my 02 RSTD back toward me. Did your mod work? Did the speedo move with it, or was a different mod required? Got any pics? Thanks, Jake
