hkd51 Posted November 12, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 12, 2007 I took the gas tank off today to change the plugs and noticed that there was oil caked onto the rubber stacks that run from the carbs up to the plastic boxes just under the gas tank. The oil is only on the stacks on the one side (left side) and not the other. Any ideas how to fix this? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Freebird Posted November 12, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 12, 2007 It is not that unusual. Usually caused by slightly overfilling the oil. Most of us have found that with the bike in the complete upright position, NOT on the sidestand, that you don't want to fill it more than about halfway or just slightly above halfway in the site glass.
