1991 venture oil filter question?

OK sorry if this has already been asked. I did several serches and came up empty first. I know that my 1991 uses a ch6002 parts number filter. Thats where the rub comes in. Nobody in my area except the dealor carries it and hes crazy at $20. I have found at a local auto parts store the ch6000 and the ch 6003 . Will either of these work? they look to be smaller than the ones Ive used from what I remember.But that is dealing with my memory and sometimes it fails me. Seems to me I remeber someone talking about using the ch6000 .

Hi David

I went with the Rivco conversion. Got tired of spending a fortune on the stock filter. Pays for it self over the long run and much easier to change filter.

Wally World used to sell the Fram 6002 for about $6 bucks, and it came with a new 'O' ring...

Dave, I've had the Rivco setup on my 83' since 2003 and would never go back to the old way of changing filters. I'm not even sure if I could find my old filter housing cover any more. The Fram 3950 filter for it is $3.29 at walmart and you can find them literally anywhere.

Just picked up a new filter for my 89 at Hicklin Powersports here in DesMoines $9.40..

the rivcoproducts-dot-com site has that filter adapter marked down right now for $59.xx - that's about, or maybe less than, what I paid for mine in 2003.
