any resonably priced good source of supply for air filter for 08 RSTD?

I tell you, I went ahead and replaced the OEM filters with K&N replacements and I have to say that it did make a noticeable difference. While I can sense a bit of a performance increase, it's my mileage that has really improved. Prior to the K&N's I would always get 40 MPG, even when riding two up. Since the swap out my mileage has gone up to as high as 48 MPG with an average of around 44 MPG. This past weekend we rode two up for two straight days and averaged 45.5 MPG.

I picked up the set of filters for under $70 delivered online at kensautowholesale.com without any problems.

I got my k&ns for my 01 rsv from gm cycles 77.00 shipped to me. That was for both filters. I put them in and did not really notice any improvement in mileage. Could be I like to hear my bubs sleeper pipes.

I just ordered K&N filters for my 07 RSTD. I have K&N filters on my Acura and my wives Vol o XC 90. I really can't tell any noticeable difference in power, but I like the fact that you don't have to keep buying filters.

Nope, they're fairly expensive filters.

 

The K&N's are nice, but the only advantage you'll see over the OEM is that you can wash and re-oil them.
