vin man Posted May 1, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 1, 2010 (edited) I have an 83 Venture Royale with the CLASS. I get an E4 error. According to the service manual, I believe I am not getting the necessary +/- 5.0 volts input voltage. If I tested this correctly, I checked the black/white and blue/yellow wire at the plug on the control unit itself (as opposed to the pressure senor). The troubleshooting diagram leads me to believe the unit is bad. My question is the following: which unit? Are they referring to the pressure sensor, or the CLASS control unit (the computer itself)? Edit: If it is the control unit, am I correct that the soldering process recommended here is a logical next step? http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=493 I have already been to a junkyard looking for pressure sensor, but haven't found anything yet. Thanks. Edited May 1, 2010 by vin man

vin man Posted May 1, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted May 1, 2010 Hi and welcome to the Site Most likely, you'll have that fixed if you follow the Instructions in the following Thread. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=493 Thanks Squeeze. You and I must have been typing at the same time. I edited my post asking if that was the logical next step. I had been thinking it was the pressure sensor, but I'll do the re-soldering and see if that fixes the problem.
