No loss of gas mileage. This bike is geared too high. One might think that spinning slower rpms saves gas, but when the throttle has to be opened further to pull that high of a gear, there goes any potential gas savings. A more appropriate gear will let the throttle be more closed (which is not something you will feel), and does not use any more gas but does give better performance.
