Following the six pin connector back to the connector right below the left side of the seat, I get similar results there also. Is there a connector other than that one. dingy Posted March 9, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 9, 2010 There is no power on any of the 6 pin connectors. Mostly these go to the pick up coils and presure sensor. Link below is a schematic for your bike. 84-85 Yamaha Venture Royale DL Wiring Diagram Rev C.pdf TCI is bottom center/right. You should be able to read the coil resistance by ohming between the black common and the coil conductors. Coil resistance is 93 - 126 ohms.
