Will the mufflers off of a 84 1200 fit on an 86 1300 ?

Will the mufflers off of a 84 1200 fit on an 86 1300 ?

 

The 84 (mk1) is supported by the passenger foot rest bracket and the 86 (mk2) is supported at the frame. I don't believe they will easily fit. I am using Mk2 mufflers on my 84 and had to make brackets to make it work.

Hey Bob,

I don't know if it would be helpful or not but I have a set of MKII 1990 VR stock mufflers from a very low mileage bike in very good to excellent condition that would be a direct bolt up for your 86'VR. If you are interested in them, please feel free to PM me.
