I always hated my stock exhaust. I used to say that my bike sounded like a 'sewing machine'. With the Bubs, it sounded like it had some balls. After riding with them for a season, I am thinking about going back to my stock exhaust for a more 'civilized' sound. tazmocycle Posted January 28, 2010 Share #10 Posted January 28, 2010 if you get the header pipes and mufflers from bubs, you will have a larger set of header pipes. the only thing with them is getting the header pipes on, mine has the welded flanges on them and you have to do some pulling to get the pipes in the ports. another friend got his set and they had a spring washer to hold the flanges on and he was having trouble getting his on. i went over and had to tie the spring washer together with thread to keep them from popping off when putting them on.
