Squidley Posted April 1, 2009 Share #1 Posted April 1, 2009 I need a little help, some of you know that my wife Sweetnothing is headed to Houston to see her mother in the hospital. The plan for her travels today will hopefully get her to the Little Rock area, or perhaps Texarkana. Could anyone in the area, if they have the info, steer me to a decent place for Lonna and her daughter to spend the night. I want to keep her out of the "Hood" and at a decently priced motel. If anyone can help me out it would greatly be appreciated, my cell is 810 531 5128 and Lonnas is 810 531 4243, thanks in advance....Squid
gunboat Posted April 1, 2009 Share #2 Posted April 1, 2009 brad forrest city, ark is about 80 miles south of memphis. have stayed there different times and at different motels (quality inn is one) but joyce says the prices seem to keep going up. brinkley, ark is just a little futher south. these two towns will keep lonna on the west side of little rock. hope, ark is south of little rock joyce has stayed there, but i have not. when lonna gets to texarkana she will need to take 59 south that runs all the way to houston. don c. Missionary Rider Posted April 1, 2009 Share #4 Posted April 1, 2009 There is a Fairfield Inn beside the cracker barrel at exit 156. It is near the "New" Baptist hospital and just down from Super Walmart. Exit right at mile marker 156, turn right on Spring Hill, left on Health care drive and into the Fairfield Inn. You can see it from the Cracker Barrel. It's a safe area at a reasonable price. If she's not happy with those accommodations, the Holiday Inn Express is further down the street past the Cracker Barrel (Spring Hill) and turn left on McCain Blvd. We've put up visiting speakers and missionaries at the Fairfield without problems. Sorry we are out of town or we might be more help. Lynn

skidrow Posted April 1, 2009 Share #7 Posted April 1, 2009 (edited) Squid, on her way home tell her to stop just south of the mo state line in blytheville....hampton inn. Nice place, stayed there 6 times in the last three years on road trip from hou. To indy. Second exit(northbound) and the motel is on the west side on the freeway next to the shell station. Really good chineese buffet next door, good breakfast in the lobby.....tell her not to look for whitecastles here in houston, but near the hospital is a Steak & Shake...
