Jethroish Posted March 25, 2009 #1 Posted March 25, 2009 This was addressed in the 1st gen folder, but decided to put it here since it is happening with my 07. Tonight after I got home from work, I noticed a slight "rumble" noise when I pulled in the garage when I put it in neutral and let the clutch lever out. Did not sound like throwout bearings. Only hear it when in neutral without the clutch engaged. No slipping, shifts normally, but it is just loud enought that the wife even heard it. If I take it to the stealer, are they going to tell me to pay because clutch is a wear item and not covered? Bike is only 2 years old with 21,000 miles.
Squeeze Posted March 26, 2009 #2 Posted March 26, 2009 If the Noise disappears when you pull the Clutch Lever, the Bearing in the Pressure Plate is gone. This sould be covered by the Warranty, since the Bearing should not be gone that early and it's not a Part that "wears out" by any Meanings.
