pop216 Posted March 12, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 12, 2009 Hi Folks, Quick question. Has anyone installed the National Cycle 'PeaceMakers' on their RSTD or Venture? These are the pipes with an actuator on them that go from a stock sound to a after market exhaust sond with a flip of a switch. Just curious on comments and where I might hear a sound byte. Thanks, Pedro
Steveb1959 Posted August 26, 2011 Share #2 Posted August 26, 2011 I was just looking at them also. Great concept. I would be interested in any feedback also.
Phoneman1981 Posted August 26, 2011 Share #3 Posted August 26, 2011 Hello: I through up a post about these same pipes a long time ago with no repsonse from anyone. I contacted the company several months ago. They responded quickly with a price. But I have not made the plunge yet.
Art708 Posted August 26, 2011 Share #4 Posted August 26, 2011 I saw them on a VTX 1800. They worked pretty well and looked good.....pretty pricey though as I remember.
Steveb1959 Posted August 29, 2011 Share #5 Posted August 29, 2011 Retail $849.99 !! Cruisercutomizing $764.99. That is a pricey exhaust, but it is unique. Wonder how difficult it is to install?
Phoneman1981 Posted August 30, 2011 Share #6 Posted August 30, 2011 Hello: Has anyone checked with Phat Performance. I have a two year old email indicating $359.00. part # 1811-1779. Hope this helps?
Stache Posted August 31, 2011 Share #7 Posted August 31, 2011 Their application chart doesn't seem to show RSTD or RSV. Which version would be needed, and how would you attach it if it was meant for a different machine?
Steveb1959 Posted August 31, 2011 Share #8 Posted August 31, 2011 PHAT list them for our bikes at $764.
phertwo Posted August 31, 2011 Share #9 Posted August 31, 2011 This is a really good idea, but they are pretty darn expensive! I wish they made a fish-tail version, or at least a fish-tail tip, but that's just me. I'm moving into a town-home very soon, so I might have to give this exhaust some thought. Either that or just put the stocks back on..
