You have a guage : the bars, the speedo, a red light, and two eyes. Put it on reserve and leave it there. The thing will start shutting down too soon anyway . then you have to stop and get off and turn the d### thing then get back on . Try this in the dark and along a busy road. Mine gets a min of 150 miles on a tank. Thats my take and Im sticking to it:680::680::680:

Kevin - go on e-bay and get a used petcock assembly. Order the correct

gaskets/orings for the petcock and for the fuel level sensor. Then you can

drain the fuel, goe through the sensor hole and inspect the tank. Clean out

the garbage (rust and sludge) and install the new petcock. Get a couple

fuel filters to change out over the next few tanks of fuel. Mine is set on

reserve and I rely on the gauge and the read warning light. It is accurate

to the manual. Red light blinks at about 1.3 gallons remaining. It goes to

a steady light at 1 gallon left.
