My press to talk does not seem to be working. My wife can use hers in the back just fine, Help! Something not setup right? Tried for sometime this afternoon and no luck.

Mine did that last year, after pushing in and relaseing several times it started working.

Probably just needs a little contact cleaner sprayed on it.

I agree. Since hers is working, it is likely either some dirty contacts on the switch or the connectors inside the fairing need to be unplugged, dabbed with some di-electric grease and plugged back in. Not likely anything serious.

 

On a 2007 though, if you have a good dealer that can get it in and out in a hurry, I would let him worry about it. It should be a warranty item.

OK both switches, yours and passenger, just supply a ground to the PTT circuit. They both feed into the same common wire, so something is wrong with your switch, probably either poor contacts or you lost your ground...

Separate the housing and clean the contacts. Mine did the same thing. Works perfect now.
