  1. To celebrate 50 years of Woodstock, I took a ride up to the site (Bethel, NY) last week. Not only is the place historical, they really have done well by adding the museum and center for the arts facility. Combine that with the great roads up that way and you can really put together a great day of riding. Here's a little Woodstock tribute video I made of that day.
  2. Still riding, Larry. Hoping to still be at it in 2023 when I retire. Then I can get out of my little tri-state area and branch out a little!
  3. A favorite for those in the PA, NY, NJ area. Not only is the Hawk's Nest portion a lot of fun, the rest of the 70 miles of this scenic byway is worth the time as well.
  4. Just a little humor I came up with to pass the time while waiting for riding season here in the north east.
  5. What may be our last ride of the season due to the low temps, we took a ride last Sept to visit the Blue Mountain Vineyard. A very fine place worth a look if you're in the area.
  6. Imagine a whisky aged in wood that is over 100 years old or even extinct today. Sean Tracy, host of the TV show Barn Hunters, owns and operates the Hewn distillery in Pipersville, PA with some really unique spirits. We also went over to the Peddler's Village in New Hope, PA to explore over 60 shops. This, and historic route 611 in our latest ride report/video here.
  7. We headed up to NY State to visit the Coppersea Distillery and discovered the Mohonk Mountain House up in the Minnewaska Sate Park Preserve. A place we'll go back to in order to lean more about it. Take the next several minutes and join us on this ride.
  8. So sorry for your loss. My prayers go out to the family. I don't have any experience with police reports and how they appear in the news, but I can say that one experience I had with a newspaper was an eye opener to me. It was a momentary flood in a neighborhood I used to live in. I was interviewed, had pictures taken, etc. and a couple of days later when it all appeared in the paper I couldn't believe the editing that had taken place. Quotes of mine and others were out of context, photos were edited to make it look worse than it was, etc. So where the police in your case may have got some things wrong, there's also what happens between the police report and the news outlet. May his family find peace at this time. Joe
  9. Old towns, lakes, distilleries and more. Some GoPro footage and a little history of the Catskills.
  10. This was as close as I ever want to get to a deer while sitting on my Venture!
  11. Once owned by a two term governor of PA, the Grey Towers make for a great mansion tour with 102 acres around its area to explore. It also came to be one of the last places John F. Kennedy appeared in public before being assassinated less than two months later.
  12. Bucks county PA is getting to be a favorite spot for us. Some decent roads and a wealth of places to visit.
  13. This place is a unique work of art in the form of a place to live. There's nothing I know of quite like this.
  14. With some warm weather finally coming our way here in the north east, I finally gathered up footage from one of our last rides last year. My wife and I got off the bike to hike into the woods back to the 1800s to visit the remains of two grand hotels slowly vanishing over time.
  15. I'm with Yammer Dan on this one. Weight room. It will take time, but your body will respond. Good luck. Joe
  16. We're very excited to be finally towing our new to us Time Out camper. Many thanks to Carbon_One for such great workmanship on the hitches he makes for the RSV. This is the second time I've purchased something he's made and it's always beautifully crafted! Thanks Larry!
  17. The season is coming to a close here in NE Pennsylvania but last week we headed down to Flemington, NJ to visit the Skunktown Distillery. I'm no stranger to Warren County, but looking over some of the roads in that area last week reminded me I need to ride around over there more. The distillery proved to be one of the best this season as well.
  18. The roads through Sussex county never disappoint. We took a ride up to Branchville, NJ and stopped in at the new Milk Street Distillery to visit with owners Mike and Gordon. A great place!
  19. The motorcycle season is winding down but you can still catch rides with us! Come along this time down by the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA and visit a distillery operating in a 1920's bank! Probably the most cool place we saw this season.
  20. Come ride with us down route 191 through Bangor, PA and visit the Franklin Hill Vineyard. Joe
  21. My first attempt at a ride report while on the bike. Come along through the Delaware Water Gap and learn a little about the golden age of that area. It's an area of beauty and recreation that still has remnants of years gone by if you know where to look. Joe
  22. I don't think we'll make it out that way in this riding season, but next year we'll be "venturing" further as we'll have a "Time Out" pop up camper in tow that season. I will definitely keep your offer in mind. Thanks for stopping by my sites, we appreciated it. Yes, got my ham license back in '91. Haven't been active in a long time but keep my license up to date. The internet sort of took the thrill out the hobby for me. It's a much smaller world now as a result. Drinking whiskey straight, is there any other way? LOL Joe
  23. Cowpuc, I don't know what to say at the moment. Here I am being nervous, wondering if what we have is worth anyone's while and you post this! Thank you so much for your praise. We're having fun trying to put stuff together and I appreciate the encouragement. Joe
