  1. Hey guys, Sorry it has taken so long to get back to eveyone on this. I finally broke down and took stardbog's advice and took my bike to a second dealership. The first one could not figure out the problem. I had better luck this time around. The problem is fixed. I guess the tech had to take the seat and tank off to trace all of the intercom wires. Apparently it was touching either a coil or spark plug wire and picking up the interference there. Re-routing the wires solved the problem. I guess I won't give up my day job to become a motorcycle mechanic as all of my attempts failed. I want to thank eveyone again for their help.
  2. Thanks guys, you have given me a couple of more things to try. I appreciate it. Hopefully I can get to work on it in the next few days. I will let you know how it turns out.
  3. Well, the moving the handlebars all the way to the left and right did not fix the problem. I did get some improvement when I moved some of the wires under the seat. The buzzing noise went away but now I have a ticking noise that changes with rpm. It definitely has something to do with the wire going to the passenger intercom. If you are plugged into the rider intercom you don't hear the tickling noise but if you are plugged into the passenger port, you do. I will continue to investigate and let you know if I can get it totally resolved.
  4. Thanks for the info guys. I will be working on the bike this weekend. I will let you know how it turns out.
  5. Hey guys, new member here. Love the site. I am having a problem with my intercom system that I am hoping someone can help me with. I have an 08 RSV. I recently bought J&M headsets for the factory intercom system but I am getting an annoying buzzing sound that changes with engine rpm. I had the same problem with Chatterbox headsets. I thought the high-priced J&M's would fix the problem but they didn't. The J&M guys at Bike Week said there is something wrong with the bike. My dealer could not fix the problem. I tried ferrite chokes but that didn't work. I took off my battery tender thinking I had a short but that didn't work. Any suggestions?
