  1. Once again Don you reveal why you are so Loved here by this group, and Why, I think , it has been so successful. As hard as it is to restrain some of these conversations it has been imperative for making this forum feel like a safe place where many friends can come together from around the country and the globe.

Yes this is a motorcycle forum primarily but as we all understand it is more about all the friendships that have been established here. keeping things respectful is also a way to help make this a place where the friendship bonds created here are strong and stay strong.

It would a shame to lose any friends here but i think that if anyone can not understand how the negative energies some thread generate tear at these friendships then they are missing the larger point of what this forum is really all about. like i said its not so much about the bikes then it is the people who ride them.

I just renewed my membership after letting it run out last month. I was debating whether to come back. But I realized There was too much to lose in NOT renewing my membership. I am glad to be back and this meesage you've given is is exactly the reason why I am!!! PB&J.:thumbsup2:

  2. Check out Bongo's pictures if #88 isn't trouble I don't know what is!!! We had a great time seeing everyone. Oh Big Tom I got my balls out of Michelle's purse before she went to Florida :whistling:

  3. just want to thank you again for a great time Tom. It was so good to see every one and meet a few new faces I haven't seen before. I don't want to get all mushy but I just can't seem to be grateful enough for such a great group of friends . You are all the warmest nicest bunch of people a person could ever call friends and I'm not sure what i did right to be amongst you all but i hope a keep doin it .

After bein away for a while it felt so good to bask in the warmth of all that friendship. At least that's whee I think that warmth was comin from???

Oh and Boomer no Cheesecake but plenty of chocolate cake and ice cream. LOOOOts and Looooots of ice cream!!!

  4. Hey Dave,

i have to agree with Earl. I have a v65 Sabre and the v4 from Honda and they are solid engines. BUT you don't ever want your son doing wheelies on one. The oil line are noted to be a little too thin and the engine can get oil starved and thus Earls comment about top end noise.

The 750 would be a great all round mid size touring bike but over 5000rpm there hides the heart of a tiger. My suggestion is that the Virago may be a better bike. It depends on if he rides more with you or his friends. Phil.

  5. When I was in high school I was 6ft.1in.240 lbs and i had a 44 in. waist. I loast 60lbs. and then started to work out with weights. i;ve been doing it for 30 years. I'm presently 6ft.1in. and still 245 lbs but with a 36 in waist. My body fat index is a little over 10% which means that if I was to not have anybody fat what so ever I'd still weight around 215lbs.

Those BMI measurement are so out dated they should no longer be used.:thumbsup2:

  6. Jim,

Your words are wonderful and true. yes we've had some here try to do that ( stir the pot). But they learn quickly its not good for anyone here. I too thank Don and all the moderators here for all that they've done to make and keep this a friendly site that is fun to be on and be a part of.

I've made good friends here and hope to make many more in the coming years. They have proven to to be good loving people. Thanks for starting this thread Jim, I'll bet plenty more will echo your thoughts. Phil.L. PB&J.:thumbsup2:
