  1. I guess I have been on this site more in the past few weeks than all the rest of my membership time. No doubt it is an absolute treasure chest of info on the bikes and as far as I can tell anything else you need to know about....and everyone who is brave enough to speak up gets picked on the same LOL! I love it...
  2. LOL...I don't know about that but oddly enough I was thinking that any large predator pee should work.....but there again....don't know..only what I was told. I can see right now...guy needs to becareful what he posts on here...lol
  3. Smells close enough to mountain lion pee I guess....lol...I don't know..lol...instinct?
  4. He said it did. And he lived out in the woods at the base of a mountain here where there are LOTS of deer. This guy was about half Seminole indian.....curious type of fellow but in all the years I knew him he never put no BS on me like that... ...of course the slug would be my solution since I like deer steaks better than beans...lol
  5. ...guy I know had the same problem....one of his girl friends worked at the zoo and got him some loin urine....said that worked great, no deer at all for as long as it lasted....i.e. rain and time....Now I don't know exactly how she got it for him...lol
  6. Ok....thanks for the info guys....I'll see what mine I have now looks like,...maybe after drying it to see if I need new....No idea what the stuff costs..never bought any before...lol
  7. No problems as far as I know. Bike has about 40k on it only so probably still ok
  8. ...was one of the very first things I learned from this site when I got my '86 RV.....stuff work great just as all said it would. Sleepy2....If I knew when I was going back into Ontario I would bring you some of it...Woodstock is right on the main drag from Bluewater bridge isn't it?
  9. Ok...on my '86 Venture....do I need to check U joints for the drive shaft on it....where is the post for that? Anyone? Oh,....also....can of worns maybe..but gear oil suggestions for the final drive?
  10. That is kind of what I was thinking....since it is a single speed cooling fan....figured one wire of the two was ground for the fan...and the mystery wire was ground for the temp sensor/gauge...but, finally at my age I have come to realize that it is a lot easier to ask than to fix what you mess up...lol
  11. ...anyway....I had such a hard time plugging that thing back in....My wife has some "bullet" connectors that were the same size so I made a longer wire for it. So now if I ever have to take it out again the wire is long enough it won't unplug on me....sure hope it isn't a calibrated resistence type wire. ????
  12. Question.....the ground wire on the top of the T connector for coolant that the fan switch is in.....is that ground wire for the fan or for the gauge...or what? Oh...on '86 RV.
  13. Well.....took the hoses I formed back off and added some anti-rub material to them since it looks like they are going to work ok....back on now and fresh oil and filter in the bike and all day cleaning job....man that bike sure was dirty...so ready to ride looks like
  14. ...To all the ladies on the site here....I'm sorry....but it was funny to me...just had to pass it along..lol
  15. I know...sometimes a guy knows better but just got to say it or bust...lol
  16. That's right, I forgot you could do that.....thanks guys
  17. ....I'm sure 100% of the women that read this post will tell me all about it! ...LOL! I knew better, but I just couldn't help it...
  18. ...if that is how you spell it...lol....any idea's where a good source for it is for the air system?....Very humid here in Bama and I know I have never changed it and no telling when it was changed last.
  19. ...25 % of women in the U.S. are being treated for some form of mental disorder.....the rather shocking and disturbing part is that the other 75% are going untreated....lol:223:
  20. Well, just glad it is working good now.....and my newly formed coolant hoses are hanging in there and working great....so very soon be ready for long fun trips....lol
  21. Ok...switch had kind of got hot at some point and little melted on one side but I got it all fixed up now and is working good....Dingy's info was most helpful as was all that chimed in for me...thanks guys. Kind of wondering now what made it get hot and when did it do it...lol
  22. ok...tests made...definitely the switch. Thanks a bunch guys. Now to go by dingy's info and get it apart....tried to get it loosened up but not luck at that so...
  23. Ok....sanity check please...lol....from looking at the wiring diagram...looks like the switch connects the brown and yellow wire when bakes are applied and switch is in the "free" position correct? ....so with the switch out of the mount and free should be making that contact and completing the circuit for the brake light, so I need to check across those to wires in the connector for continuity and also....if I bridge thar connection on the other side of the connector and turn the ingnition switch on the brake light should come on right?
  24. Oh, are these switchs still available for 1st gens or is it an ebay thing now days?
