  1. Yes they are cleaning up AFTER the fires. If they had harvested the sick and deseased trees before the fires there would be much less tinder to ignite.

    Just my opinion and :2cents:.

Sorry Jim I misunderstood your first post. Yes if they would thin out the forest they could make them a little easier to fight the fires when they start.

  2. Look at the logic of California officials that have prohibited the removal of tree debris because it is natural. the result in some opinions is the huge wild fires that plague the state.

Jim I am not quite sure that your statement is true. My oldest son has been in Redding since Dec. cleaning up after the fires there. Now he and my other son are just out side Sacramento doing tree clean up there and will be there till the middle of Sept.

  3. Have not seen the cosmetics yet but price is good. Just checked Ebay and can get a switch for under $50.00. May have to pull the trigger on this one. Good thing about this one it is my neighborhood so I could push it home if need be.

  4. I have a chance to buy this bike very cheap. The owner says it runs and has a rebuilt set of carbs for it. The only other thing it needs is an ignition switch. The PO messed it up when he lost the key. Your thoughts ?

  5. I have used Toluene and Acetone for years where I worked. Used gloves most of the time but not all. Worked the foam room a few of those years and the drums stated on them that fumes can cause the big C. They use a different foam now but the people in there still use a mask and gloves.

  6. Yeah what Bob said they are junk. Best thing to do is paint your stock cover to match the bike if it is not black already. Here is an idea. Mark your cover where the bars hit it. Take the cover off and heat it with a torch a little just enough to make it soft and use a piece of pipe to make an indention in the cover where the bars hit then paint to match the bike.
