  1. We got a tablet that I think will be good to take with us on vacations. It's a Google platform. Ruthy also has a Kindle e-reader. I thought it was a big waste of money but she likes it! lol

  2. Hey Bob.

I remember back two years ago when you, Jerry, and Dan met me and my friend, Jeff, at Westfield Yamaha to pick up my '88.

It was a real treat to have met all of you. I could tell right off that you each represented so many who are such helpful souls on this forum.

Sorry, I haven't been on here in a while (my new 20 month old adopted son, Simon, keeps me busy :), so I just now read of Dan's situation. I wish I would have known before now and had been able to pray sooner.

As a Christian, Venturerider member, and fellow motorcyclist, I can truly appreciate all of the prayers, concerns, and updates about and for Dan and Rose. I also am so very thankful for the medical intervention that the lady gave him on the side of the road. Thank God for folks who care enough to stop and render whatever assistance thay can. Dan is still here with us thanks to her efforts.

I'm joining all of you sending up prayers for Dan.

    Rusty

That was a nice afternoon. It's too bad that you live so far from us because I know we would be riding together alot. Praying for you Dan! :)

  3. I wish the PC Police would just go away.

Subject one - it may be insensitive to post personal opinion about safety gear when the main subject is that someone is hurt. I think that point by the OP was well understood by all. I will not comment further on it except to say that I do not believe anybody was deliberately being insensitive.

I agree that the person posting the comment wasn't trying to be insensitive but I'll say right now that it bugged me. There is a time and place to discuss that stuff.

  4. Well, it was priceless, the place was packed! Had a band playing, vendors, and he had to throw a leg over MY RSV and ride out bit*h on the back with him leaving a two week old 36k bike behind!!!!!

The ride of shame!!! The dealership should have taken care of your friend!

  5. I'm not upset that they haven't changed the bike. I still like mine, and still have a year left on the warranty. Now, if they do decide to do something next year to the bike that still keeps the cruiser styling and comfort of the Second Gen. along with upgrades I'd be very interested! Timing is everything.

If Yamaha decides to go back to a Goldwing copy, I'd have to pass.

  6. Charlie, it must have been tough realize your riding days are over. We are all getting a bit older and you never know when we will have to make the same decision. Hope you still post here and let us know what your up to!
