I thought I had a Lean condition because after a 3000 RPM blip, my RPM' would decrease rapidly to 2,000 RPMs then take around 10-15 seconds to reach the set idle of around 1K RPMs. 
Well while looking for the mixture screws I noticed a rubber hose coming down from, I think, the air box or somewhere near it that went to a metal T then to the left and right side carbs.  Guess what, the hose coming down wasn't even connected to the T.  I connected it and the bike seems to drop to idle normally now.
