Freebird, It may be for the best that you not test ride the New Venture. I had completely refurbished my '09 Kawasaki Voyager, intending to keep it for another 94k miles... then I did the demo ride of the New SVTC.... Yep I promptly sold the Voyager and bought the Venture. Love, love, love it.

After I reinstalled the update this went away and all is well. As to the sound issue????? I got nothin... Hope this helps

I have to second this. My last Bike ('09 Kawasaki Voyager) I too had Kuryakyn chrome Longhorns and in a year or less the chrome bubbled and looked rough. for this bike I may buy the Longhorns but I'm considering the gloss Black, in hopes of avoiding this again.

Good evening, I followed the software update instructions and the screen did reach the "Completed" screen. I have a new issue. the GPS thinks I'm in San Antonio TX. I am in South Georgia. It is frozen in San Antonio on the same location. Anyone else experience this?

I had seen that email and quickly read through it. Thanks for posting this because I foolishly had deleted it and then this week I experienced the "Navigation not ready" /. error. I too saw an email regarding Yamaha sending out thumb drives, I have not received one. I am curious though. the video to correct this error mentioned that the error had been remedied in software version 12. the Yamaha toolbox downloaded and update of some sort but when I performed the "fix" the software version on my bike still shows version 11.8.9. I tried to select software update with the thumb drive plugged in, the selection was not greyed out but did nothing?

Does anyone have 2018 SVTC body diagrams-specifically of the fender mounted tail light? I would like to access the wiring at the back of the tail light but don't see how to remove the assembly and sure don't want to break it. I hope it does not involve removing the saddle bags.
