Hello everyone!
I wanted to change the rear brake fluid and wanted to know if I should hook up the mityvac to the rear caliper, the front caliper or somewhere in between to do the best job of removing all of the old fluid while filling at the master cylinder. Hoping I don't destroy it trying to remove the plug.

You had me guessing so I went out to see. I would say at least 10 or more for my fuel pump. I couldn't keep up.

Has anyone tried this balancer?
https://www.harborfreight.com/motorcycle-wheel-balancing-stand-98488.html
I was looking at mounting and balancing my own tires this winter and am trying to see if its worth doing it myself or having the dealer do it. I'm also looking at these tire tools.

You either have done it or will if you ride long enough. Pride always heals faster than road rash!

Wonderful! Who cares what you said, I know you will enjoy it and that's what matters!

The wife and I passed through there last week and looked over the place. You are right Puc, it is a treasure house of old photos and stories. I wish I knew some of the tales behind those pictures. We did pick up some post cards there and had the ice water. It was a nice break from the road then we continued to Rapid City for a couple days of sightseeing.

Just received my 1st Guardian Bell as a gift and am wondering where anyone else with a 2nd Gen is locating them.
I first drilled a small hole in my right footrest bracket but it looks like the bell is too low to the ground so I then connected it to the lower front bolt on the right lower.
I like the looks of it on my first try on the footrest bracket but afraid it's too low and could possibly lose the bell?
I need help too. I put mine on yesterday for a ride to the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall here in Kansas and only got 7 miles from the house before I developed a fuel leak and had to return home. Apparently I placed it too high on the fairing

Wow,
Looks like it is jet ski weather, not riding weather. Stay safe and I hope it stops soon.
Ah Neosho MOWe are supposed to get up to 6 inches of rain.. The parking lot where gf works looks like white water rapids..

Now I have a windshield available that is 5.5 inches shorter than stock. Fairly good shape, just too short for me. Ready for its new home!
Wow I was worried about that... Bubble wrap can only do so much and that was the only box big enough noone else had any boxes...Living life one curve after the other. Vroom scooting, thru the countryside.[/Q

Should I sell my bikes. Don't ride very much now a days. Also should I get rid of step van. Just go back to fishing along bank or ponds and working on projects for someone else IE family. Get rid of the truck in garage never going to finish. Its not that great of a time traveling by yourself. I cant afford a relationship anymore or have anyone wanting me for that matter. lol The sun don't reappear very soon going to question my thoughts seriously.
Well, Summer is coming and longer days with more sun than we care for. Keep the bikes and soon it will be great fishing weather and riding weather!

Well, now I guess I will have to be there. Never been in that part of the country anyway.
That is no excuse, I had work done on me so I was there in a cage the last 2 years. Just get there, it don't matter how. -
I would love to go but I am having some work done on me the first week of May so no riding for six weeks

Don't we already have that? Isn't that what -Favorite-Roads-and-Destinations is for?
Exactly! Sorry, I looked but missed it.

Hey these suggestions and plans are fantastic but in order to keep members from recreating the wheel each time one of us discovers a great route or place to explore how about we make a place here to save routes or trips so others can use them. There is a wide variety of experiences out there and regional experts who know the best routes and time of year to travel them. Of course the rider will use due diligence before leaving home to check all the information but it might prompt others to see something new or find it in their own back yard.

Basic liability is all I can get on my 89 Venture and 80 Honda Twinstar. I wish I could get more but I guess the insurance company doesn't want to deal with fixing older bikes. Still, I guess I can't complain about 75 a year. Sorry to hear about the prices in Canada, I hope everyone moving there brings their checkbook!

I got the windshield today and I am grateful to get it. Thanks Snyper316. I was surprised it was in one piece, the box looked like it got hit by a Mack truck! I will have it swapped out for this weekend so now I need the weather to cooperate. If anyone is looking for a shorter than stock windshield, I will have one available soon.
Ok well message me your address and ill get it sent your way.Living life one curve after the other. Vroom scooting, thru the countryside.

I am usually pretty good at knocking things loose without intending to. I had just finished installing valve cover gaskets and was putting those air baffles back in when it popped out on the left side. I was like where did that come from? I jarred it loose jamming the baffle in and as is said in this forum Mama Yama put it in there for a reason so I guess I get to explore putting it back in. Yay Thanks for the tips on reinstalling, I will start with the easier options then see where we go.

That is it, no doubt about it. All I have to do now is figure out how to get it back in there without taking the bike apart!
Here ya go, I hope this helps. I just happen to have my TCI, coils, carb rack and battery out for upgrades so it's a clear visual. Does that look like her? -

Not really, I have family in Louisiana and my wife makes the trip every couple of months through the area. I will be in Branson next month for a overnight visit. I was in Kansas City when the storm hit us but my wife was home. We were lucky, just blew over my smoker and tossed our deck chairs around. It was quite a squall line but glad we missed the rough stuff that hit Oak Grove in Missouri.
Do you come to a specific place maybe half way on a regular basis? You are not to far from my Little Brother and his wife. Did you get hit with the same stuff the other night when all the winds came thru, my brother lost his storage shed, trampoline, and his kids little tikes playhouse. -
I am about a half hour north of Topeka on US 75 near Hoyt.
I just noticed how close you actually were. Where in Kansas are you?
