Earl,
I need to replace the starter clutch on my 1991 venture. Do you still offer the upgraded starter clutch?
Hey Vulcan, Dano here. I still offer mine in the Yamaha 2nd gen style, it provides 18 sprags around it to grab the crank and uses 6 bolts to attach it to the flywheel/rotor. Email me at danob11@comcast.net for the details.

Another update to this post...I know, not on here much but still doing the starter clutches.
Price has now gone to $435.00 with the gaskets included and still shipping back to you. The good ol' Pacific takes it time to get stuff over here, right now it's a 3-4 week ship time til I receive the parts from Yammamama.
Direct email is the best contact danob11@comcast.net

Covid??? Yep!!! needed to buy some breakers for the electrical panel at our shop. Not in stock anywhere, so called my electrician. He said they were all made in Mexico (not that that matters) and that the 3 shifts at the plant are now done to only one. Why?? It's the times I bet. Anyhow, building houses etc just got slower because of a tiny part that is needed to supply power.
Try having the 2020 NEC in force in 2 cities around Indy. AFCI and GFCI on perty much everything. Increases your service install by $700 your cost...plus availability.

I remember now...! That little wire was put in there to help "direct and drive" the oil to come up thru that spinning bolt head as the center of the crankshaft is open and a bit pressurized with oil flow.
IF that pesky memory serves me somewhat right...

Happy Bday to ya Carl, you made it another one and I'm crossing that line this coming Sunday,,,who'da thunk we'd all still be around...

I know how much you like helping people, and if somebody calls and says the need something you would jump right in and help out. It's a fine characteristic to have, so don't let me get in the way. But,,, are you the only guy that can install stair lifts in Ohio? Why not let some of the other guys have some business as well. If you are wearing yourself out, then you are overdoing it. I think Eileen would like to have you for a husband for a few more years and in good enough shape to enjoy life together without her turning into a full time nurse. Sometime, in becoming retired the hardest thing is to change ones mindset.
That would be the same as someone needing my top level electrical experience...how do you say no?
Especially since I quit takin' that damned Prozac the doc had me on for 7-1/2 years...now I can get back into ridin' more again, just broke 11k on the replacement

Hi @CALEDON will stand up very well to less than ideal riding conditions like getting onto some off road tracks (not that you want to make a habit of it). QUOTE]
Is that a reference to me wanting to ride Redbud up in Michigan when we stopped by there back in 2010 on our VR ride out of Potato Creek Int'l Rally? !!!

I will keep my 7 with Firefox and Moziller till it quits, then I'll go back to keepin' sh*t on paper. Oh yeah, still got my ol' laptop from 93 and W3.2 that still runs the AB500 PLC program that's still in use around the globe...

Just an update on this process as some newer folks are checkin' into this....
As Yamaha has discovered, they're selling a bunch of these so the price of the parts have increased greatly...
The total cost nowadays to VR.org members is $385, includes the starter clutch, new 72tooth gear, all 3 gaskets needed and return shipping to you
Of course we do these for folks around the world, so'z if you're not in the good ol' USA then your shipping would be more.
Any questions email me at danob11@comcast.net or just PM me on here, I get the "PM received" notifications
Thanx, Dano

So sorry to hear of your loss 'Bum, I myself lost a long time friend on Friday who was very "instrumental" in the local rock&roll industry, he was a DJ at the big niteclub I built and ran the sound and "dance floor litin' " in when I moved here in '79,,,his was a heart attack.
And last nite at Indianapolis Speedrome during the racing we had a car owner/old driver go down with a stroke,,,
Damn its ruff out here anymore
And I DO love that he rebuilt the classic Austin-Healeys,,,and I'm one of those guys that'll do whatever to a car "just because I can".....

Thoughts and prayers continue on for Bob and Becky, don't like to see friends go thru this...
