I used a stainless hose clamp to hold the muffler on in place of the mounting bracket/plate. Solid mount using the last mount position on the muffler and lined up perfectly with the saddle bag support

Sent my seats to Rick to try his work before I bought new seats, and must say WE are so pleased with what he did !! Butt is still a bit sore but I'm pretty sure that's me and first rides of the season up here, as it was no where near what it was before the rework. Anyone on the fence about doing it... Well worth it in my opinion !! Thanks again Rick:cool10:

Just got my seats back from Rick this week and had my first 4 hour ride today... Big improvement over the stock and well worth the small investment... Wife was amazed at the difference and she was ok with it before

Going to follow this one as I put mine in and after first ride, found the same issue... where this didn't exist with stock ECM

I just received my Dyna yesterday. Unable to ride right now as seats are out for rework. I just have a quick question, my computer wouldn't allow the program to load so I just installed id it as it sez from Dyna that it's pre-programmed. Is this default setting all that is needed or is there some suggested tweaking that I should do ? Thanks

That's a ton of stuff. I picked the bike up last summer and it had less than 6k on it and it's a 2000 so from all that have checked out on it , the bike is still new. I had the Star bar on my Vstar and loved it, how is it on this ? Seems as tho the bars would be outside the fairing and exposed to wind, which for me is not great, that's why I put the grips on as my hands get cold in 60* weather. Next is Vmax rear and Dyna, which I had ordered on Ebay but vendor had no stock but was still taking payment. On to another source for that now

OK, here is another question, since I'm not real adventurous with wiring, where is the ground that you used and where would be a good place to tap into for switched power ? I was just going to go direct to the battery to a 7.5 fused Battery Tender connector that is already there. That will be fine for me as I will be able to disconnect when I use the Tender

I purchased a pair of Avon heated grips for my RSV. Anyone put grips on theirs and any tips on proper wiring, as I am not big on the electrical end of the install and just want to do it correct.

I already put the Polks in up front, just thinking of trying to get a little better sound from the stereo. Already did the ear buds when I had my V-star, but wife and I love the open music.... just adds to the relaxation of a long ride. Well, looks like I may have a project now.

So if we can use stock HD mufflers, we can also use any slip on for a HD touring bike or is it Road King specifically ? I've looked on ebay and there are many options if that's the case as I too am looking to do this in the spring

wrap the allen with some duct tape too so you don't mark the fairing up

Hello all, proud new owner of a 2000 RSV here. Been making some changes on the bike to clean the backend a bit and looking for a smaller antenna. Seen all the post's about the Marshall mod and the Firestik, but thats really still more than what I want. Looking for a stubby antenna or even a good working hidden antenna. Already removed CB as it is something I will never use and I'm not crazy about the look of the whips. Any input would be greatly appreciated

Just tightened mine today, came from riding a Vstar and they have the same cap and are notorious for falling into the tank.
