Black Owl Posted August 22, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 22, 2008 Ok all you wiz's out there. What is the factory torque for the rear axle castle nut on a 1986 Suzuki 1400? The only tech info I can find tells me it is 40-63 fp. That sure seems low to me.

flb_78 Posted August 22, 2008 Share #3 Posted August 22, 2008 Sounds about right if it's a castle nut and has a cotter pin to go through as well.

Snarley Bill Posted August 24, 2008 Share #6 Posted August 24, 2008 russel, since it's a shaft drive the axle can't move so i would say those figures are right on. i had a 1400 but can't find my shop manual. must have let it go with the bike. bill
