jkt69 Posted August 8, 2008 #1 Posted August 8, 2008 Start at 8am at Rider's Harley in Trussville, Al. Last bike out at 9am. Rolling into King's Ranch for a BBQ lunch by 12. Last year's event had at least 100 bikes, and the kids were thrilled to see all the riders, and the noise and the steady stream of bikes that kept rollin in. Last year they raised more than $22k. I know it's last minute, but if you can make it, it's for the kids who are under privelaged and come from broken homes. Definitely a worth while cause.
Guest Fishbone Posted August 9, 2008 #2 Posted August 9, 2008 Rode in this event last year....every make and model welcomed. It is for the Boys and Girls Ranch of Central AL. Please make it out if you can...weather is going to be perfect! Last section of the ride from Church of Brookhills out and into Chelsea is motorcycle police escorted and packs all the bikes together in a "parade". Come on out!
whozleft Posted August 9, 2008 #3 Posted August 9, 2008 I have never had problems with the Harley sponsored events here in central Ohio. A.D. Farrow Harley Davidson in Columbus does a lot of charity rides and always welcomes every make and every rider that wants to make a difference. I have found that most of the riders that do these rides know what the purpose of the ride really is about. And it's not about what bike you ride.
tazmocycle Posted August 21, 2008 #4 Posted August 21, 2008 when it comes to the kids, thats the only thing that matters. would also like to let ya'll know of the ride for kids birmingham this year will start at barber's and end at barber's where they have built a permanent shelder for us to have it at and are the main sponsors of it. some of the money goes to uab and children's hosp.
