mavericksix Posted July 1, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 1, 2008 Silly question, however I need to replace plugs in my !st Gen., and I missed placed my socket. Can anyone give me the right socket size to pull these? Thanks in advance. Semper Fi
BJB Posted July 1, 2008 Share #2 Posted July 1, 2008 I use the one from the tool kit as none of my other ones seem to fit. Hope this helps.
mavericksix Posted July 1, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted July 1, 2008 Thanks, but no toolkit for the bike. I know it was thin walled, but can not remember the size. Semper Fi

hipshot Posted July 2, 2008 Share #5 Posted July 2, 2008 i used a standard 18mm deep , socket,. had to grind a bevel on the open end, to fit it into the head, but it worked great. just jt
mavericksix Posted July 2, 2008 Author Share #6 Posted July 2, 2008 Thanks, Squidley and Hipshot. Found out my last son "borrowed" sockets to work on his bike and friends helped themselve to sockets. Now his allowance is going to take a hit. I told his Mom I was going to take him to beach and make him a "sugar cookie". Needless to say the better half did not like that idea. Thanks again.
