dueyk1111 Posted Tuesday at 06:05 PM #1 Posted Tuesday at 06:05 PM have developed an antifreeze leak at the front of my 06 venture, didn't leak till i brought it home from storage. leaked just sit'n in the garage. jacked it up n looked under and itz wet from the front to back. isn't wet at the top. starts bout half way down, can't see for sure but believe it'z com'n from the thermostat housing. gonna order new thermostat n o-rings and then dig into it. any thoughts or advice, TNKZ!~
Freebird Posted Tuesday at 06:09 PM #2 Posted Tuesday at 06:09 PM Depends on exactly where it’s leaking from. It is very common for them to leave at the freeze plugs behind the fake cylinder find. Very easy and cheap fix.
dueyk1111 Posted Tuesday at 06:39 PM Author #3 Posted Tuesday at 06:39 PM ckecked those already n they're dry. thought bout those. no, itz wet up front just down from where the thermostat is. TNKZ!
dueyk1111 Posted yesterday at 10:14 AM Author #4 Posted yesterday at 10:14 AM anyone know whether itz easier to get to the thermostat down from the top or take the radiator out? looked in the tech section and didn't find anything.
M61A1MECH Posted yesterday at 10:40 AM #5 Posted yesterday at 10:40 AM I had to replace the thermostat and one of the sensors on my 2007 many years ago, I did not remove the radiator, pulled the tank and did all the work from the top. I do not recall it being overly difficult.
