MongoE9 Posted April 27, 2023 Share #1 Posted April 27, 2023 While riding up a hill in 5th gear doing approx. 70 mph I heard what sounded like an engine backfire pop then lost all transmission power. Engine whined and I limped to the shoulder. I had no gears to hold from rolling back downhill. Clutch lever seems to operate properly, and the shift lever seems to operate properly as well. I trailered it to my destination and hours later had just enough trans power to limp into another trailer. Now at home, after several days I tried it again and with the clutch pulled in and trying to start in gear the bike tries to roll forward. When I shift from neutral to 1st I heard a grinding noise and then back to nothing again. I am nowhere near as mechanically talented as the majority of you are. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
