SpencerPJ Posted March 16, 2021 Share #2 Posted March 16, 2021 I tried getting ahold of him 2 years ago, for 1/2 a year, never could, so I did some work myself, and I am pleased with the outcome.
Zach2017 Posted March 16, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted March 16, 2021 Im wondering if @Rick Butler is even still doing this. Im new to the forum but have seen a lot or others saying they couldnt reach him. Ive never done anything like the seats and wouldnt even know where to start. SpencerPJ Posted March 16, 2021 Share #4 Posted March 16, 2021 What are you trying to accomplish, and what seat / bike do you have?? I wanted to firm up my seat, so I cut some out of it, added carpet pad, it worked well. 3M makes a great spray adhesive that sticks foams together, and a electric knife trims like butter.
Zach2017 Posted March 17, 2021 Author Share #5 Posted March 17, 2021 Im wanting to take a little out or the height. Narrow the neck slightly. And relieve pressure on the tailbone area.
SpencerPJ Posted March 17, 2021 Share #6 Posted March 17, 2021 Type of bike? Have you taken the seat off it? Is the leather / vinyl simply stapled onto the seat pan? An electric knife does wonders. OR take seatcover off, head to hobby shop, sewing shop, or internet, buy new piece of foam, trim to your liking, yet still have old foam just in case you would rather go back stock.
