dna9656 Posted October 21, 2015 #1 Posted October 21, 2015 (edited) I got an '83 Royale; The following is removed, the cage that holds the front fairings, ignition box, air cleaner,, windshield, seat, ALL or nearly all the electrical relays, Res. lighting unit etc. Anyway I need some sort of logical procedure to re-assemble it. I plan on transplanting the tires and wheels, Ignitec, coil over plug ign. coils, seat, windshield, side and rear travel bags, side panels, starter, and other stuff from my other 83.5. I figure that the 1986 fork, the R-1 brake calipers, front master cylinder, and the wheel and tires are first. Install the brake conversion kit that eliminates the combined F & R factory brake set up. I plan on going through the carbs. I think I should check the CLASS before I get too far. Change the fuel filter, make sure the fuel pump and valve works and has no leaks...the rear master cylinder (I have one for a '86) and rear brake reservoir checked out. Any input would be appreciated. Edited October 22, 2015 by dna9656
Great White Posted October 21, 2015 #2 Posted October 21, 2015 Start with the fairing supports, then the harness, then the harness components (relays, modules, etc). Power it up and make sure it all works. It's easier to work on an electrical fault/mis-wire/etc while you can get to it freely. Then start adding plastics. Basically, work from the inside to the outside if you can....
