1sttenor Posted April 4, 2008 #1 Posted April 4, 2008 A friend of mine sent me this today. Its very easy to become complacent. As we start riding more, watch out for the other guy. http://www.zippyvideos.com/7103177407477156/nevertrustagreenlight/*denverchief
tmodel Posted April 4, 2008 #2 Posted April 4, 2008 My dad in law sent this too me a couple months ago. Looks like the car ran the light.. but on a bike... you can still be right and be dead! I think the numerious professional driver training courses I had to take when I was a commercial driver has saved my bacon many times with cages and bikes. This biker made a fatal error. He did not clear the intersection before he tried to drive thru it. It didn't matter that he had the light. I think the "cops" on this site would agree. Take a defensive driver's training. It will help you stay alive because it will teach you to think. One last note.... 3 separate crashes, two were friends a one was an acquaintance. The acquaintance died. One friend died. The last was a man and wife...last year... in the Smokies. They suffered a broken leg for him and stiches for the both. ALL 3 CRASHES WERE DRIVER ERROR! Moral: You only get one chance to do it right... the first time.
