I just measured the framework of my HF Tagalong, it is 33" long x 29" wide, the framework is 2" x 2" square tube. the tongue measures 49" long, and is 2 1/2" wide x 2" high(thick), and it attaches underneath to a 2" x 2" crossmember, and it has a 1 7/8" ball coupler. I didn't measure the dimensions of the clamshell but will if you need them. It overhangs the framework by about 1 1/2" all around.

thanks for this info..have the hf small trailer kit and a clamshell and i want to make this as narrow as possible..the tagalong looks narrower than the regular hf trailer..thinking about inset the wheels a bit to make trailer as wide as the bags..anybody cut one of those clamshells and reglued or fiberglassed the tub?..

thanks to all who replied
