skernew Posted November 2, 2014 #1 Posted November 2, 2014 Does anyone know the part number for carb boots fot 1997 Royal Star? Mine are cracked so bad and do need replacement. Dealer wants over $350 for them and won't give me part numbers and are there any after market boots that fit. I just purchased this bike after many years of riding a v- Star 650 glad I I graded but could use some direction.
JDaniel Posted November 2, 2014 #2 Posted November 2, 2014 Go to partzilla.com I bought new ones for my 99 Royal Star Venture for $35.00 each.
M61A1MECH Posted November 2, 2014 #3 Posted November 2, 2014 Those boots always crack and look bad, In 17 years of being around Royal Stars I have never heard of any that cracked thru. There are a couple of things you could do. To see if they are cracked thru spray some starting fliud on them while it is idling, if they are cracked thru the idle speed will change. You could treat the outside with plastic drip like what they use to cover tool handles or get some liquid electrical tape at Home Depot and brush a coat of that over the outside and let it fill the cracks.
skernew Posted November 2, 2014 Author #4 Posted November 2, 2014 Awsome idea on the tool dip ill have to try that And they are cracked through unfortunately. Cant wait to get this thing on the road. I have a date with the tail of the Dragon in the spring.

I have a 91 1300 venture and my local dealer wanted over $200 for the carb holders. I got all 4 plus shipping for about 70 something bucks. The site is big and sometimes hard to find stuff. When I can't find what I am looking for I send them a message with my bike info and what I am looking for. They send me the link to the item or if they do not have it tell me where I can find it at. Good luck! Hope this helps.
