Travis Posted September 4, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2014 I am seriously thinking about going to purchase the two 1986 Ventures that are in the classified ads on here. Wow a 16 hour round trip hike. The look like decent rides with good miles on each. The price is at the top of KBB retail value so not I'm trying to decide should I wait it out for something local to come up again or go the agony of hoping I can get two bikes loaded on a 5 x 10 trailer,,, Seems like that might be to tight of a fit. Has anyone loaded two of these on a 5 ft wide trailer before. Thanks
ricksbike Posted September 4, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 4, 2014 Just a quick thought, maybe one Forward and one Backward, used to do it with our dirt bikes to keep handle bars from hitting.
MasterGuns Posted September 5, 2014 Share #3 Posted September 5, 2014 Won't work on a trailer with a 5 ft width. I had two VRs on a 6 ft wide trailer and even then it was tight.
KIC Posted September 5, 2014 Share #4 Posted September 5, 2014 These bikes are not light and easy to move/load. you would probably end up trashing the plastic trying to make two fit tight on/in something. borrow a bigger trailer..it would be worth it. GaryZ Posted September 5, 2014 Share #5 Posted September 5, 2014 I have a 5x10 enclosed trailer. My two Ninja ZX11's will not fit in it, much less my two Ventures.
Travis Posted September 7, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted September 7, 2014 Thanks for all the replys,, My neighbor has a 14 ft trailer that will work perfectly. Now I just have to find time for the long drive.
