yamagrl Posted July 29, 2014 #1 Posted July 29, 2014 Is this a good idea to make removal at a later date easier?
Prairiehammer Posted July 29, 2014 #2 Posted July 29, 2014 I would. My preference for exhaust components is the copper based (high temperature).
Peder_y2k Posted July 29, 2014 #4 Posted July 29, 2014 I've used the aluminum based anti-seize for over 30 years and it works even on exhaust bolts. I've used it on exhaust manifold gaskets as well to help seal them. I do believe the copper stuff is better, even if more expensive. -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted July 29, 2014 #5 Posted July 29, 2014 We use the aluminium never seize on all our boiler components as e go through refit every year. It helps so much the next year when we pull it all apart.
