kkent66 Posted July 30, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2013 I have a 2006 RSV 56k miles. Bike is running great no issues at all. Noticed the switch housing on the bike will move back and fourth about 1/4 - 1/2 inch. There are a few screws that hold the switch housing together and they are plenty tight. Is this normal to have this type of movement? I have not noticed until today. Again no issues with throttle or cruise control. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. steamer Posted July 30, 2013 Share #2 Posted July 30, 2013 It should not move. I think there is a pin that holes it in place. You can split it open and carefully pull it apart to look inside. I've had it apart a couple of times, no big deal. just take your time.
kkent66 Posted July 30, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted July 30, 2013 Steamer - you were 100% correct - I removed the housing and the pin had slipped from the hole in the handle bar. Slipped the pin back in, replaced the two screws....good as new! Thanks for the help!!!!
