tfinlay Posted July 1, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 1, 2013 Does the signal lights on the back of a 1986 Yamaha venture royal also act as marker lights? If so they are not coming on as park lights, only as signal lights. Some help is needed please.
Condor Posted July 1, 2013 Share #2 Posted July 1, 2013 Does the signal lights on the back of a 1986 Yamaha venture royal also act as marker lights? If so they are not coming on as park lights, only as signal lights. Some help is needed please. It's been a while since I've messed with them, but I think they are signal and emergency only, and not constant running lights.
Sylvester Posted July 1, 2013 Share #3 Posted July 1, 2013 On the 2nd gen. they are signal and hazard only. I doubt that they were different on the 1st gen.
awsmsrv Posted July 1, 2013 Share #4 Posted July 1, 2013 Also, if they are amber, you'd have to change them to red to have them as running lights. I also like having more light back there, so I converted mine (2nd Gen RSV) to running/brake/turn with products from Custom Dynamics.

mbrood Posted July 4, 2013 Share #6 Posted July 4, 2013 The rear turn signals use a single element 1156 bulb so stock is turn signal only. I just grabbed a couple bulb holder and harness used on the front turn signals (1157 bulbs) and wired them as rear turn signal with a "T" off the rear running lights to act as lower intensity markers. Careful, some states don't like amber running on the rear.
