The overall looks and price is good, however I am not sure bought the frame. It is made of 3/4" square tubing. Does anyone have experience with this trailer. Brake Pad Posted February 13, 2008 Share #2 Posted February 13, 2008 I was looking at the over all weight of each trailer, and they all beat mine by 60 Lbs. My trailer is a Matrix rover, weighs in at 210, the framing is almost the same. remember 1/3 the bikes weight, is what your putting in your trailer. My bike is 873 Lbs +(Trailer 210) toung weight 16 Lbs + 291. cargo (the trailer will hold 350 lbs) I've had 400 Lbs in mine, I will not do that again. My latest Neosho has around 50,00 miles on her without any problems and performs perfectly. There are some beautiful trailors out there but the Neosho in my opinion is the best bang for the buck even with the fanciest accessories. I think the swivel hitch , independent suspension, and LED running lights are well worth their additional price. LED may be standard now. I'm not sure. I added them to mine and with the weak charging system of the Venture they reduce the electrical draw significantly. Just My opinion. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

1sttenor Posted March 10, 2008 Share #6 Posted March 10, 2008 Sorry for the late reply. I hadn't seen it. I pull a Neosho. (See avitar) Love it. I can't tell its back there most of the time. Most of my frields want me in front when we ride together if I'll pullin it, because they say the brake lights and signals are so bright they can tell from a 1/4 mile that we're turning. I doesn't hold quite as much as some of the other trailers out there, but plenty for 2 up riding for a week with a tent. They were also great to work with. My local dealer will not sell it to me for $1499.00 so when I go to Colorado I will swing over and get it OR they will ship to Texas for $240.00..My dealer wants $2099.00 for the thing. I bet it has a yuppie price too! ROTFLMAO!! No neon on it either!! Actually it wasnt too bad, I bought it in 1999 for $1200...I see they are much higher now, at least the ones like mine. Torsion bar axle, timken high speed bearings, carpeted interior with light, 'secret compartment'...its pretty nice, and its light weight...you pay for that. I built and added the nose piece, to give some better aerodynamics to it, and I keep a gallon of gas in there, you never know. I also painted it to match the red and black Ultra, and now I have this all black Venture...what to do..what to do? If I had it to do over, I'd probably opt for the standard trailer tire and wheel package, instead of the upgraded motorcycle style wheels, tires and 'floating' fenders...they look nice, but they are a pain when it comes to fixing a flat on the road. There are no lug nuts, you have to remove the bearing dust cap, the cotter pin, and the axle nut, to pull a wheel, then you end up getting it dirty, and have to clean and repack, before you can remount the wheel. Plus, the tires are actually scooter tires, with a rounded profile, but since they never wear on the sides at all, they square off pretty soon. The only good thing is, the tires are very cheap. Hey, I got called a yuppie one time, 8 years ago, the guy saw my new Ultra outside when he walked in to the bar I was at...well now, HE's riding a new bike, and mines the old one in the group. While the trailer isn't a necessity, we all know my RSV is a must!!! It keeps me from going postal and is more addictive than drugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
