Old Shipyard Campground

This is a bit late but we found a great campsite this summer in Nova Scotia on the Bay of Fundy. The campsite is run by the local town and you can camp right at the water's edge. I think this is close to where the highest tidal change was recorded. It goes from a few feet from your tent to up to a 1/4 mile away. If you are still doing some camping this summer check it out.

Yes, its kind of cool.

We rolled in about 4pm and the tide was out.

We put out tent just above where the Welcome button is on the web space. It took us about 20 minutes to get to the water's edge as the tide was out.

About 2am I could hear water lapping and the water had moved to a few feet of out tent.

It was back out in the morning when we woke up.

I was told it happens twice per 24 hours but we didn't actually get a chance to see it as we were rolling out in the morning.

I will definitely go back.

Oh yea, some very nice twisties getting there!
