mkrieg Posted June 29, 2012 Share #1 Posted June 29, 2012 I have a question that may sound dumb buy here goes anyways. Will a 2nd Gen final drive fit on a 1st Gen? Mine is making some serious noises when maintaining speed but not while accelerating or decelerating. I was looking at some on ebay and just wondered what my options were if I need to replace it. MiCarl Posted June 29, 2012 Share #2 Posted June 29, 2012 I put a 2nd gen final on my 89. It bolts right up BUT shifts the wheel about 1/4" to the left. Doesn't cause me any issues. The 2nd gen final has a hole for the speed sensor. I made a block off plate out of a piece of 1/4" aluminum. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
