GolfVenture Posted May 9, 2012 Share #1 Posted May 9, 2012 This ? is for MKII riders with Progressive Springs weighing in at around 170 lbs plus or minus 5 lbs. I've installed my Progressive about 500 miles ago and I really like the ride in the corners and on really smooth roads. The slight bumps are getting to the point of being annoying. What weight oil did you use. I am 180lbs and have no trouble with 15W oil, and zero air pressure. 10W would be a little "softer" but given the physics I don't think our weight differences affect it much. You could also reduce the pre-load by shortening the plastic spacer, or even removing it. If you haven't already ... disconnect the anti-dive too. Wanderer Posted May 9, 2012 Share #3 Posted May 9, 2012 I'm slightly heavier than that, but maybe reduce your tire pressure 2 or 3 lbs. That really can make a big difference.
