What's up with this new Fla motorcycle law?

If I wasn't so desensitized due to all my years in law enforcement, I might be tempted to take umbrage with some of the comments about LEO's posted here.............

 

 

 

i was beginning to wonder, if any of you "good guys", were gonna step up to the plate!

fortunately for us, the leo,s being discussed here, are of a type that are few and far between!

i know lots of officers, and not ONE. is a bad cop.

Theres not a chance in hell that law will hold up in court as long as all vehicles and drivers are not subject to it.

I did read it, But, there going after the "Go fast Bikes"

They race up & down the highways, at speeds up to and over 200MPH

There is even a club down here called the 200 club. when I'm riding down the road at 70, they fly by me and scare the living S*^T out of me.

I don't agree, But it will keep the "gofasts" in line. I hope?

Years ago I met one of these "Bad Cops" while working for a moderately large Dept. I asked the young individual to step outside into the bammer where I administered a thorough attitude adjustment. :whistling:

 

Surprisingly the Officer's attitude was indeed adjusted and turned into one of the "Best Cops" it has been my privilege to have ever worked with.:stirthepot:

Several years latter he even thanked me for knocking some sense into him.:)

That was over twenty years ago.

 

I hate to think what would happen to a senior officer if one administered and attitude adjustment now.

 

A lot of these new kids don't have a sense of LEO family anymore

 

I'm just glad I'm eligible to retire in ten (10) months.:rotf:

I lost that speed trip, when I lost my liecense, after doing 132, up the Adirondack Northway (Speed limit) (55) on the 1982 Honda CBX

When I got mt liecense back, I bought a Goldwing.

Not driving for 18 months, gave me plenty of time to think about it.
