Also where is the idel setting screw? Specs calls for 1,000 rpm +/- 50 rpm, so 950 - 1050 rpm. Idle adjust knob is vertically mounted between carbs 1 & 2, basically behind the left lower fairing upright & carb bracket. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
painterman67 Posted September 24, 2011 Share #3 Posted September 24, 2011 ok first pic show basic area and second pic gives you a better look at where the idle adjuster knob is. These pics are from my 91 on the left side as you sit on the bike. If your looking at the carbs on left side the knob is just below the braket where the tubes vent out. As for rpms I prefer about 1000 . I tried 900 and less but the bike didnt like to creep ay that rpm so I settled on just a tick over 1000. sorry for not posting earlier but I wanted to add these pics and it was raining out there by the bucket fulls.
